Sam and Hayley’s wedding in Guanacaste, Costa Rica was the kind of celebration we live for—laid-back luxury, natural beauty, and the most incredible couple surrounded by their closest people. They chose to elope to Costa Rica and celebrate with 47 of their nearest and dearest at El Mangroove, a stunning beachfront resort known for its lush scenery and elevated coastal vibes. As destination wedding photographers and filmmakers, it was an absolute dream to document their day in such an unforgettable setting.
The couple exchanged private vows during their emotional first look—just the two of them, with the ocean breeze in the background. It was intimate, heartfelt, and the perfect way to start their wedding day. Shortly after, a tropical storm threatened the timeline, and a quick decision was made to move the ceremony up. Thanks to their incredible guests and the amazing staff, everything came together flawlessly. The skies held off just long enough for their ceremony and a quick round of sunset portraits on the beach before the rain rolled in.
And when it rained… it really rained. But that didn’t stop the celebration. The reception turned into a full-on dance party, and the night ended with a splash—literally—as everyone jumped into the pool to cap off an epic evening in paradise.
