Greg and Kate – Boston Engagement Photos
Greg went to college with Barrett and even got Barrett his job at the Hilton hotel in Wilmington where we met each other and eventually got married. So you could say Greg might be the one to thank for Barrett and Megan being together and for there to be this photography business that we run together. It was meant to be that close to 8 years after Greg moved away from Wilmington he would find us to photograph his engagement and wedding in Boston, Massachusetts with his fiancé Kate.
The two of them hosted us for a couple of days during the trip from Wilmington to Boston, and showed us some of the authentic Boston areas. Kate grew up in the Boston area and knew all of best spots around the city. She even knew some great places in the suburbs around Boston which we took advantage of during their engagement session.
It was October and we were looking for some great fall colors. Greg and Kate took us to Borderlands State Park in Easton, MA and it did not disappoint. There was a large stone castle in the middle of the park which was a natural first stop in the session. After the castle we went to the lake down the hiking trail and found those fall colors we were looking for. It was such a beautiful area and it made us really want to push our creativity. We used the LensBaby tilt-shift lens for some killer portraits and popped the drone up in the sky to grab a few photos to show more of the scenery.
After Borderlands State Park we picked up the MG classic car and found some spots closer to Boston to complete the engagement session. We love classic automobiles and even own a 1973 VW bus ourselves, so we were so excited to take advantage of engagement photos with a classic car. It was hard to leave Boston, but we are so thrilled to be coming back to photograph their wedding in the Seaport District of Boston in June!!
